Abstract
The folk painting is a precious legacy that the Korean people inherit from their ancestors, all of the folk paintings contain the thoughts and feelings of the people at that time, as well as the ideal and the desire of the people at that time. South Korea's folk painting is practical and life style of painting, folk painting in the composition and design of the rich skills and the era of international comparison, the perspective of the use of the people to establish the legitimacy of the Oriental culture. The paper, cloth, etc. to use ceramic material for the classification, application of modern works of folk painting material design of the calendar design; fashion design; ceramic design. To explore the application status of the Korean national painting in modern design, we can find out the art value and beauty of folk art, and use it in the modern design to develop a new image of the works.
