Abstract

In this paper, application of fuzzy logic in the function of artificial intelligence technology is applied for the tracking down the point of maximum power in a stand-alone wind power system having PMSG as a generating machine. With the purpose of tracking the maximum power that can be extracted from wind energy with wind alteration, the hill climb search (HCS) algorithm is implemented using fuzzy logic control (FLC) method. In a stand-alone wind energy conversion system along with a predetermined load, a battery as an electrical energy storage device is used for the storage of excessive power. This proposed scheme has been simulated in Matlab/Simulink and obtained results for the same.
