Abstract

Enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) programs represent a series of optimized and evidence-based perioperative treatment aimed at reducing the stress reaction, complication incidence, hospital stay and hospitalization expenses. The treatment also aimed at improvement of hospital experience and life quality. The adaption of ERAS protocols in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery may optimize the clinical diagnosis and treatment model. In this review, we focus on the application of ERAS protocols in this field. Key words: Otolaryngology; Perioperative Care; enhanced recovery after surgery
