Abstract

Objective To explore the prevention effects of continuous quality improvement (CQI) nursing on infections of infectious diseases departments. Methods A total of 280 patients of infectious diseases departments were randomly divided into control group (routine nursing) and experimental group (CQI nursing based on control group) according to even and odd-numbered admission number. We compared infection status and nursing satisfaction of two groups. Results The infection rate of experimental group was lower than that of the control group (χ2=3.97, P=0.046); patient′s grading of nursing quality and patient′s satisfaction in the experimental group were higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). Conclusions The patients of infectious diseases departments are used CQI nursing based on routine nursing can apparently decrease infection rate and enhance patient′s satisfaction, which deserve to spread.
