Abstract
We comprehensively reviewed altered growth habits and leaf injuries occurring under continuous light for Asteraceae, Brassicaceae, Leguminosae, Convolvulaceae, Lamiaceae, Rosaceae, Poaceae, Pinaceae, Taxodiaceae and other crops. As shown for Solanaceae and Cucurbitaceae crops in our previous review, continuous light can accelerate growth by providing a high daily light integral, but many species and cultivars develop leaf injuries and abnormal growth. Other environmental factors may alter responses to continuous light.
