Abstract

The application of chromium carbides in the composition of a powder flux-cored wire mixture for applying abrasion-resistant coatings is considered. It is shown, that when using chromium carbide in the charge of the electrode wire during surfacing, the reinforcement of the weld metal is not achieved. The use of chromium carbide instead of ferrochrome changes the structure of the wire and deposited metal, which increases the hardness of the coating. Keywords: surfacing, chromium carbides, abrasive wear, surfacing material, reinforcement. aspankratov@bmstu.ru
