Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical effect of caffeine citrate combined with neonatal respiratory monitoring self-rescue instrument in the treatment of apnea of prematurity (AOP). Methods 120 cases of AOP in our hospital from March 2017 to January 2018 were randomly divided into control group and observation group with 60 cases in each group. The two groups were given the same comprehensive treatment such as caffeine citrate, the control group was given routine nursing care for premature infants, and the observation group was given nursing measures based on the neonatal respiratory monitoring self-rescue instrument on the basis of the control group. Compared the application effect of two nursing methods. Results After the treatment of caffeine citrate combined with the intervention based on the neonatal respiratory monitoring self-rescue instrument, the frequency and duration of apnea, and the proportion of patients who needed extra stimulation (such as plantar stimulation, dorsum stimulation) in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group[(3.83±1.82) times/day vs.(5.35±1.23) times/day, (22.76±2.54)s vs.(30.68±2.38)s, (45.74±12.85)% vs.(66.78±13.56)%], and the effective rate of the observation group was significantly higher than that of the control group (96.67% vs.88.33%), with statistically significant differences (all P<0.05). Conclusions The combination of citrate caffeine therapy and neonatal respiratory monitoring self-rescue instrument intervention can significantly reduce the incidence of apnea in preterm infants, reduce the severity of apnea, improve the effective rate of treatment of AOP, improve the clinical symptoms and so as to improve the prognosis of children. The instrument is simple and easy to operate, and has no obvious adverse reactions, so it has certain clinical application value.
