Abstract

Traditional steel gates are often designed separately in the gate design stage, hydraulic engineering design and reinforcement stage, analysis stage, detailed drawing stage and construction process, which not only results in loss of data information, but also requires repeated input of information or rebuilding of the model at various stages. Therefore, the use of BIM technology in the design of steel-gate water conservancy projects is of great significance. As a new model technology with high intuitiveness and operability, BIM technology is gradually applied in the whole process of hydraulic engineering design. In this regard, combined with the application example of the BIM software platform, this paper analyzes the key information points from the design stage to the construction drawing stage of steel-gate water conservancy projects and verifies the feasibility and validity of BIM technology. The conclusion shows that: BIM can not only avoid such drawbacks as loss of data information, repeated input of information at each stage and increased workload due to rebuilding the model in the process of gate design, design and reinforcement of hydraulic foundation buildings, detailed drawings and separate design of construction stages in the traditional steel-gate water conservancy projects, but also fully possess the technical characteristics of 3D visualization, parameter correlation and traceability, information sharing, predictability of conflicts, and drawing ability, optimizing the whole design process of the steel-gate water conservancy projects.
