Abstract
Abstract The modern stage of the health informatics is characterized by the full implementation of specialized information systems in the activities of medical organizations covering almost all aspects of their activities including resource management, treatment and medical care. One of them is the introduction of artificial intelligence into medicine including ophthalmology. This work gives a brief overview of the artificial intelligence systems methods and tasks and their application and prospects in the diagnosis of eye diseases
