Abstract

In view of difficult excavation of the water-rich sand stratum, the layout of freezing holes, the selection of freezing parameters, the thaw settlement control of the soil after natural thawing, and the grouting parameters optimization and other construction techniques in the freezing process of water-rich sand stratum in Fuzhou metro communication passage are introduced. For the active freezing construction process, analysis is made on the brine loop temperature, soil temperature, and pore pressure of pressure relief hole; the laws of soil temperature changes and freezing wall formation are summarized to accurately judge the timing of passage excavation. Relevant specific measures are proposed for existing problems in freezing construction of communication passage. Successful application of artificial freezing method in water-rich sand stratum is confirmed, thus providing reference for other similar projects.
