Abstract
An all-ceramic turbine nozzle offers the capability for improved erosion resistance and up-rated turbine inlet temperature. This yields significant improvement in engine durability and performance. Results of ceramic turbine nozzle engine tests and engine simulator tests for a small radial flow gas turbine are presented. The effects of erosive particles and ingested sea salt on the ceramics are included in this work.
