Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effects of active teaching method in cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) training using medical simulator.Methods Sixty-four medical students received CPR training using high-fidelity medical simulator.They were divided into experiment group who received active correct guidance, and control group who received requested guidance by teachers.The role of active teaching method was analyzed through the comparation of CPR performing scores of medical students and an open questionnaire survey of teachers.Results The students of experiment group had higher mean performing scores than those of control group (P < 0.05).The questionnaire showed that high-fidelity medical simulator had shortcomings, which need active teaching of teachers.Conclusions Direction and controlling role of teachers should not be missing in CPR training using high-fidelity medical simulator, and teaching effect could be enhanced through active teaching methods.
