Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect of wound nursing risk management in outpatient and emergency departments. Methods Through retrospective analysis, common risk problems in wound care were identified and assessed, appropriate preventive and treatment measures were taken to train the nurses master and apply them. The incidence of nursing defects and patients and families satisfaction were evaluated before and after the risk management implementation. Results The incidence of nursing defects was 0.83% after the risk management implementation, lower than that before it 3.99%, the difference statistically significant (P<0.05), patients and families satisfaction with the rate of 99.45% per cent was higher than before the risk management implementation with 95.73%, the difference statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusions Wound nursing risk management can be helpful to reduce the risk of nursing defects, improve patients and families satisfaction, it is the effective methods of nursing risk management.
