Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of Chinese herbal fumigation and washing combined with functional exercise in treating patients with Bi syndrome of knee. Methods 70 patients with Bi syndrome of knee who met inclusion criteria in our hospital from January 2016 to August 2017 were divided into control group and experimental group, 35 cases in each group. The control group received conventional therapy, and the experimental group received Chinese herbal fumigation and washing combined with functional exercise on the basis of the control group. The pain score in the first 5 days after treatment and the curative effect were compared between the two groups. Results There was no statistically significant difference in NRS score between the two groups on the 1st day after treatment (P>0.05), the NRS score of the experimental group was significantly lower than that of the control group on the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th day after treatment [(4.59±1.48) vs.(5.31±1.18), (3.82±1.72) vs.(4.74±1.13), (3.26±1.18) vs.(4.32±0.92), (2.32±0.84) vs.(3.26±0.94)] (P<0.05). The overall efficacy of the experimental group was better than that of the control group (88.6% vs.80.0%), with statistically significant difference (P<0.05). Conclusion Chinese herbal fumigation and washing combined with functional exercise can effectively improve the range of motion of knee, alleviate the pain of patients, improve the quality of life, promote the early recovery, worthy of clinical popularization and application.
