Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of meibomian gland massage combined with Chinese herbal atomization fumigation on patients with lipid dry eye disease. Methods A total of 240 cases of xerophthalmia patients admitted to this hospital from April 2016 to April 2017 were selected and randomly divided into control group and observation group, with each group containing 120 cases.The control group was treated with artificial tear drugs and etiology, and the observation group was given meibomian gland massage combined with traditional Chinese medicine atomization fumigation.Tear film rupture time (BUT), basic tear secretion test (SIT), fluorescence staining of cornea (FL), meibomain gland and secretion were examined and compared in the two groups 3 months after the beginning of the experiment and the end of treatment. Results Compared with the control group, the effect of meibomian gland massage combined with traditional Chinese medicine atomized fumigation was more significant in BUT、SIT and FL, meibomian gland morphology and secretion improvement, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Meibomian gland massage combined with traditional Chinese medicine atomization fumigation has significant effect on patients with lipid dry eye disease.
