Abstract

Objective To explore the application effect and significance of Mini-CEX in the evaluation of two way interactive teaching model of clinical nursing. Methods The evaluators unified the evaluation criteria and evaluated the comprehensive abilities of nursing interns and their teachers from seven aspects of Mini-CEX, namely medical interview, physical examination, humanitarianism, clinical judgment, consultation and health education, organizational effectiveness, and overall competence, respectively. Results Among the seven aspects of Mini-CEX, nursing interns scored the lowest in clinical judgment, and teachers should pay attention to it; teachers scored the lowest in humanitarianism and the highest in counseling and health education; nursing interns scored higher in physical examination, there was no statistically significant difference compared with the score of the teachers (P=0.516), but there were statistically significant differences in the other six aspects. The average satisfaction of Mini-CEX in evaluating the two-way interactive teaching model of clinical nursing was higher, both of which were more than 7 points. Conclusions The application of Mini-CEX in the evaluation of two way interactive teaching model of clinical nursing can not only effectively improve the clinical comprehensive ability of nursing interns, change teachers' teaching concepts and behaviors, promote the improvement of teachers' teaching quality, achieve the goal of teaching in the same way, and achieve higher satisfaction.
