Abstract

Objective To investigate the application and effect of simulation method in operating room nursing education. Methods 100 student nurses in operating room were randomly divided into two groups, control group and experimental group, and 50 in each group. The control group was performed traditional teaching mode,experimental group added an simulation teaching, evaluation results were performed by comparison nursing students of the two group in some aspects, including operations evaluation, self-evaluation, evaluation from teachers, surgeons and patients. Results Scores of nursing students in experimental group were significantly higher than those in control group, which showed statistics difference (P < 0. 01 ). Conclusions Simulation teaching made nursing students receive a more systematic and faster specialist practice to master skills, and inspired their interests in learning. It improved the ability of the comprehensive application of knowledge, the ability of communication between nurses and patients, between nurses and doctor, and it also developed integrated nursing thought in operating room, which further improved the quality of education.
