Abstract

As the scale of transmission line engineering continues to expand, the working conditions encountered in the design process become more and more complex, the traditional two-dimensional design method of transmission line engineering exposed many deficiencies, and 3D digital design technology is gradually replacing 2D design methods in the field of power transmission engineering because of its refinement of design level and promotion of efficient project management. This paper firstly studies and analyzed the application of 3D digital design in transmission line engineering, including tower model, foundation model, fixture and insulator string model, path comparison, channel cleaning, electrical spacing inspection, crossover inspection and cable modeling, etc. Combined with these applications, the achievements and shortcomings of the current 3D digital design technology in transmission line engineering are proposed. The future development direction of 3D digital design technology is proposed.
