Abstract

AbstractIn order to solve the problem of traditional process card in the assembly of complex and highly integrated phased array radar, such as poor guidance and lack of method of verification for assembly process, the 3D digital assembly technology was proposed in this paper. The whole scheme consists of three parts, including structured process planning system, assembly process analysis system (3D digital cable design and 3D digital assembly simulation/ tolerance analysis) and assembly process visualization system. Through the study of the invocation mechanism between 3D digital cable design, 3D digital assembly simulation/ tolerance analysis and structured process data by process model based on MBD, A 3D digital assembly process platform in which the data of each module can be interconnected for phased array radar was established. The whole application mode of 3D digital assembly technology in phased array radar was established through visualization technology. Four key technologies needed to be broken was analyzed in this paper too. Finally an example of 3D digital assembly process for a certain phased array radar was illustrated. With the help of 3D digital assembly technology, the cable design error rate was reduced to less than 5%, workshop assembly efficiency was improved by 50% and one time assembly success rate was improved to more than 85%.KeywordsDigital assemblyStructured processDigital cable designDigital assembly simulation/tolerance analysis
