Abstract

Abstract Mature 'Starkrimson Delicious' trees at Griggsville, Illinois, were sprayed with air blower equipment at 350 GPA on July 6. Two rows were randomly selected for each treatment. Four pairs of trees were selected within each treatment and 50 leaves from each tree were picked from the inside of the rows on each sample date. The leaves were immediately brushed and the mites counted in the field. Most mobile mites were adults beginning to lay eggs when treatments were applied.
