Abstract

Abstract Treatments were applied to mature York trees using single tree plots arranged in a randomized block design and replicated 4 times. Trees were sprayed to runoff using a Bean 35 gal/min hydraulic sprayer operating at 400 psi. Treatments were applied 14 Jun, 27 Jun and 11 Jul. Mites and eggs were counted by randomly selecting 25 leaves/replicate, brushing onto glass plates with a modified Henderson-McBurnie brushing machine and counting all motile forms and viable eggs with a binocular microscope. A pre-treatment count on 12 Jun showed 5.25 mites/leaf and 27.84 eggs/leaf.
