Abstract

The heats of solution of H2O and D2O in mixtures of H2O and D2O at 25°C have been measured. Results are interpreted in terms of the reaction to form HDO, assuming an ideal ternary solution. The possible contributions of nonideality to the standard heat of formation of HDO(l) are considered.
