Abstract

The pleas of Cramblett (Pediatrics, 38:381, 1966) and Arnhold (Pediatrics, 39:310, 1967) undoubtedly stem from a need which is felt more urgently in the southern states. I have not infrequently been asked to assist in obtaining such antigens for diagnostic purposes, not only by pediatricians in a number of general hospitals but also by pediatricians working in two university hospitals; and, unfortunately, I have not been able to help as antigens are not available for these purposes.
