Abstract
Purpose: Bacterial eye infections are frequently encountered in pediatric medical care, and empirical treatment may contribute to, and be complicated by, antibiotic resistance among causative pathogens. In vitro data from large, multi-center, multi-year surveillance studies are useful for tracking resistance to commonly used antibiotics.
