Abstract
A new series of 4-(((4-(aminomethyl)benzyl)imino) methyl) phenyl 4-(alkyloxy) benzoate are synthesized and characterized. The condensation reaction of 4-formylphenyl 4-(alkyloxy)benzoate with 1,4-Bis(aminomethyl)benzene yielded these compounds. Titled compounds, containing a terminal alkoxy chain range from n = 6–14 carbon atoms. FT-IR and multinuclear-NMR are used to determine the structures of target compounds. Compounds were subjected antimicrobial studies found to have significant activity against the selected bacterial under study.
