Abstract

This study was completed in laboratories of Biology Department in Faculty of Science . A total number of 225 (urine samples) were collected from patients with Urinary tract infection patients in the province of Najaf and identification. The results of Antibiotic Susceptibility showed that E. coli isolates has a great resistance to most commonly antibiotics used in treatment of urinary tract infection . the highest rate of resistance is seen with levofloxacin and Ciprofloxacin 61/80(76.25%) followed by norfloxacine57/80(71.25%). The result of biofilm was from the 61(100%) isolates of more resistance E coli ,42 (68.8%) were biofilm producers and 19(31.1%) were non biofilm producers. Then it was tested the antibacterial effect of natural curcumin , curcumin nanoparticles and mix of them on antibiotics resistance E.coli isoietes, the results showed that inhibition zone of E.coli increased progressively with increase the natural curcumin ,curcumin nanoparticles and mix of them concentrations in reaching an optimum inhibition in 400 µg/ml and antibacterial effect of natural curcumin less than curcumin nanoparticles and mix of them.
