Abstract
Volume V completes the ‘Handbook of Mineralogy’ series and contains details of 791 minerals. These are mainly the borates, carbonates and sulphates that provide the title for the volume. The volume also includes chromates, germanates, iodates, molybdates, nitrates, organics, selenates, selenites, sulphites, tellurates, tellurites and tungstates. The minerals are described one to a page arranged alphabetically from abelsonite, C31H32N4Ni, to zugshunstite-(Ce), (Ce,Nd)Al(SO4)2(C2O4)• 12H2O.
