Abstract
The winner of the 2019 Transactions on Plasma Science Best Paper Award has been selected (refer to our Transactions home page for details about the award at https://ieee-npss.org/publications/transactions-on-plasma-science/ ). This year is the first year that the award is being given, and I am pleased to announce that Prof. Noah Hirshkowitz, of the Department of Engineering Physics at the University of Wisconsin (UW), Madison, WI, USA, is the winner for his paper, “43 years of Fun Basic Plasma Physics Experiments,” published in the Transactions in 2016 (vol. 44, no. 4, pp. 347–363).
