Abstract
On 6 February 2020, Jie Zhang, founder of GeoTomo and an SEG Active Member since 1991, was named one of 87 new members of the National Academy of Engineering (NAE). Election to the NAE is one of the highest professional honors an engineer can receive. Zhang's induction is “for advances in earthquake seismology, geophysical imaging, and medical technology.”
