Abstract
The Tissue Viability Nurses' Association (TVNA) has been formed recently to represent the professional and political interests of tissue viability nurses. This article discusses the evolution of the new Association and the developments to date. The TVNA's constitution is published, and potential and future developments of the Association are discussed. It is imperative that tissue viability nurses have a voice. The TVNA intends to be a recognized, democratic, representative and active body with whom governmental and other organizations can collaborate and consult. This will enable tissue viability nurses to influence policy and practice.
