Abstract

THE JOURNAL OF PERIANESTHESIA NURSING (JoPAN) celebrates a 20-year milestone in 2005. Our Society, the American Society of Perianesthesia Nurses (ASPAN), had its inception 4 years earlier, in 1980. The founding members and early leaders of ASPAN dreamed big dreams and worked with meager resources to build the organization and to honor our specialty nursing practice. The JoPAN has its own story to tell, and it is with pride that ASPAN shares an interview with Anne Allen, RN, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She served as co-editor of JoPAN with Marie Darcy, RN, of Ft.
