A fluorescence micrograph showing a muscle biopsy from a patient with a newly described alpha‐actinin (ACTN2)‐caused muscular dystrophy. It is stained green for myotilin and red for alpha‐actinin. The alpha‐actinin staining is enhanced in small atrophic muscle fibers. See Savarese et al., pp. 899–906
