Abstract
Solvated microcrystals of C60 and C70 prepared by co-solvent precipitation with methylbenzenes and 2-propanol as good and poor solvents, respectively, display enhanced photoluminescence over pristine fullerenes. Monodisperse nonspherical colloids with diverse morphology including hexagonal platelets and rods with facets, hollow ends, or ‘flower-like’ cross-sections, are grown based on the concentration and injection volume of the fullerene solution.
