Abstract

Multilayer stacks with up to 7 layers have been designed to provide high luminous transmittance together with low near-infrared transmittance for unpolarized light incident at oblique angles. A substantial angular dependence in transmission is obtained from both theory and experiment. Six different dielectric materials (MgF2, CaF2, SiO2, ZnS, TiO2 and WO3) and three metals (Ag, Al and Cr) were used in this study.
