Abstract
The 4.47, 5.14, 5.63 and 6.35 MeV states in 22Ne have been studied by the 19F(α, pγ) 22Ne reaction at an alpha bombarding energy of 12.55 MeV. The gamma decay of these states has been determined, and possible spin assignments were obtained using method II of Litherland and Ferguson. The spins found are J(4.47 MeV) = 2, J(5.14 MeV) = 2(1, 3, 4), J(5.63 MeV) = 3 and J(6.35 MeV) = 6. For most gamma transitions, the multipole mixing ratio is given.
