Abstract
Ehrlichiosis is an infectious and contagious disease that can be transmitted to humans and is therefore considered a zoonosis. During the development of the disease, immune- mediated haemolytic anemia occurs, characterized by a decrease in red blood cells due to the action of the phagocytic system in association with the presence of immunoglobulins. This research is based on the relationship between immune-mediated hemolytic anemia and Ehrlichiosis, with the aim of understanding both diseases, relating how they develop in the body, as well as their etiology, symptoms, laboratory changes, treatment and prophylaxis. To achieve this goal, data was collected through bibliographic research, and the results indicated the importance of controlling and preventing the disease through measures linked to the use of ticks and periodic monitoring by the veterinarian, since immune-mediated hemolytic anemia occurs secondary to this hemoparasitosis.
