Abstract

The nasal cavity and the paranasal sinuses constitute a single physiological system. The maxillary sinus has the form of an irregular triangular pyramid, whose apex is oriented to the zygomatic process. There are two extreme types of maxillary sinuses – pneumate and sclerotic.
