Abstract
Chrysin (CHY)belongs to the flavone group and has multiple activities, such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-apoptotic, anti-cancer, and neuroprotection. Considering the various benefits of CHY, its therapeutic efficacy of it was taken into consideration. Nasal administration of CHY needs estimation of the concentration of CHY in Nasal simulated fluid (NSF) as it mimics the nasal environment. The flourished method was analyzed using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) in NSF toward the estimation of CHY for the analysis of nasal delivery of the drug. The validation of the flourished method was done with some parameters like linearity, robustness, precision, accuracy, and LOD and LOQ with the applicability in prepared and optimized nasal in-situ gel formulation. The linearity was found with regression equation y = 192.66x − 17 having a coefficient of regression 0.9995 with LOD and LOQ 0.47 and 0.77 µg/mL, respectively. The estimated Robustness was less than 2 with a precision value of less than 2%. The flourished method was checked for applicability for the drug release which was checked in-vitro, drug permeation was found with ex-vivo parameters using nasal goat mucosa, drug loading, and also for the stability of the formulation.
