Abstract
A method is developed that gives compact closed analytical formulas for the evaluation of pseudopotential matrix elements in the full Gaussian case. It has the advantage of working with normalized spherical harmonics of any angular momentum and is based upon the L\owdin \ensuremath{\alpha}-function decomposition technique. It leads to final formulas that make use only of the well-known Dawson function and of its integral.
