Abstract
Original high-impedance surface (HIS) is studied in this paper. Analytical and numerical (using Ansoft HFSS package) research was done for this structure. It is demonstrated that this structure illuminated by plane wave operates as HIS with wide resonant band. Moreover effective magnetic permeability of the structure under study is calculated.
