Abstract

The development of methods to combat self-oscillations at the early stages of design is an urgent task. Purpose of the work: to create an analytical and calculation method for predicting the stability parameters of the steered wheels of the front axle of a main tractor, taking into account the influence of all design parameters of the axle on the excitation of their selfoscillations during movement. New analytical expressions have been obtained that make it possible to identify at the early stages of design the danger of the occurrence of self-oscillatory processes in the steered wheels of the front axle of a car, which differ in that they allow one to take into account the influence of friction in the pivot joint on the oscillation of the steered wheels. Keywords self-oscillations of steered wheels, "shimmy" phenomenon, predicting motion stability parameters
