Abstract

In recent years, there has caused failures frequently in the oil and gas pipeline which transports to long distance, and this has made a great damage in many countries' economy and a great loss of people's life and property. With the study of risk evaluation of oil & gas transportation pipeline goes deeply, we found that other adjacent pipelines also be in part or all of failures when the target pipeline evaluated be in leak or rupture conditions, at the same time these conditions produce other additional damage which also brings a bad effect to people's life. So we must think about this damage when we're evaluating the risk of transportation pipeline. Namely, the target pipeline failure conditions can't explain completely the failure effects of the adjacent pipeline. We should analyse every pipeline separately. And the general failure effects is the sum of target pipleline's failure effects and other pipeline's failure effects that the target pipeline caused. Based on the study of home and aboard about this problem, this paper uses the indirection damage model to study this problem come down to the additional failure effects of the adjacent pipeline , gives the failure conditions of adjacent pipeline that target pipeline caused, and ascertains the additional failure effects of the adjacent pipelines finally. This paper gives a theoretic support for the risk evaluation of long distance oil & gas transportation, and also gives a quantitative evaluation about the failure of adjacent pipeline and some advice which gives measures after oil & gas pipeline broken.
