Abstract

Freedman and Wang originally proved the existence of Regge daughter poles by a method involving the Khuri amplitudes. They analytically continued these amplitudes into complex regions and performed a Sommerfeld-Watson transformation. Unfortunately they had to assume the necessary analyticity properties whenu=0. We show how the required Khuri-amplitude behavior can be rigorously proven. This is done by interchanging the order of integration in the contribution of the Regge background discontinuity to the defining Khuri integrals. A simple expression for the Khuri amplitudes is found which is valid foru=0 or complex.
