Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of cluster nursing intervention on pulmonary function recovery and prognosis in children with severe pneumonia. Methods A total of 90 cases of children with severe pneumonia who were treated in the hospital from May 2016 to May 2017 were selected as the research objects and were divided into observation group and control group by random number table method, 45 cases of each group.Routine nursing intervention was used in the control group, and cluster nursing intervention was used in the observation group. The clinical effects of the two groups of children after nursing intervention were compared, and the time of disappearance of lung moist rale, the time of relief of dyspnea, the time of disappearance of cyanosis, the time of hospitalization, the time of heart rate recovery and the time of body temperature recovery were recorded. The changes of lung function before and after nursing were observed, and adverse reactions were recorded. Results The total effective rate of the two groups was 95.56% and 75.56%, respectively. The observation group was higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). In the observation group, the time of disappearance of lung rumble, the time of remission of dyspnea, the time of disappearance of cyanosis, the time of hospitalization, the time of recovery of heart rate and body temperature were all shorter than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05). After the nursing, pulmonary function indicators such as MVV FVC, FEV1and FEV1/FVC were all improved, and the differences in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05). After nursing, the total incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions Cluster nursing can improve the clinical symptoms of children with severe pneumonia, improve the pulmonary function, shorten the length of hospital stay, reduce the incidence of complications, the effect is significant. Key words: Cluster nursing; Severe pneumonia; Functional recovery
