Abstract
This article mainly analyzes the bucket wheel stacker reclaimer slewing mechanism gear cracking. We put the flange as the research object. Through analysis of matrix composition and cracking gear macro fracture morphology, we can preliminarily determine the cracking mechanism and failure cause of the flange. Then, through the carrying capacity of gears calculation by the analytic method and the finite element method, we further identify the failure causes of the flange and put forward the reasonable and feasible solutions.
