Abstract

Abstract This paper introduces the composition and function of civil aircraft fuel tank ventilation and inerting systems. The ventilation and inerting systems are closely related to the fuel tank, so there is a cross-link between the two. Given the fuel spillage phenomenon of the surge tank, which occurs during the climb of the aircraft due to the imperfect design of the fuel tank vent system, the mechanism of the fuel spillage and the role of the inerting system in the fuel spillage process are analyzed. Meanwhile, the optimization measures of the fuel tank vent system are introduced, which can provide experience reference for the cross-linking design of the fuel tank system and inerting system of other aircraft.
