Abstract

Remote sensing has irreplaceable advantages as a basic mode or approach in dynamic monitoring of land use. Dynamic monitoring of land use by remote sensing application and GIS technology has advantages of less time consumption, strong maneuverability and reliable data. In the paper, Chenggong District of Kunming is regarded as the study area. Remote sensing technology is relied for classification analysis on TM images from 2000 to 2015. Dynamic changes of land use in Chenggong District within recent 15 years are studied. Dynamic change laws thereof are analyzed, thereby providing effective guidance for rational use of land in Chenggong District under the background of novel urbanization.
