Abstract

Analysis of proton inelastic scattering through analog resonances in /sup 1/37Cs is carried out by the addition of a resonant scattering matrix to a coupled-channel scattering matrix. Neutron coupling to the 2/sup +//sub 1/ excited state of /sup 1/36Xe in wave functions of the parent states in /sup 1/37Xe is thus determined. For low lying levels, the parentage coefficients extracted from experimental data are in general agreement with calculations performed using the particle-vibrator coupling model.
