Abstract
This paper deals with an analysis of single server N-policy two phase queueing system with server startup. The arrival occurs individually according to a Poisson process and the service times follow an exponential distribution. The customers receive individual service in first phase and proceed to fixed (b) batch service in second phase. The server is turned off each time when the system empties; the server needs a startup time before providing first phase service when the waiting units reaches N (threshold). The distribution of the system size is derived through Probability generating functions and obtained performance measures.
