Abstract

Owning to the particular properties of the reverberation chamber (RC), it has been widely applied in OTA testing, such as the total radiated power (TRP) and the total isotropic sensitivity (TIS) measurements. Recently, the statistical models of TRP and TIS have been derived and experimentally verified. However, the statistical models assume that the device under test (DUT) and reference measurements have the same number of independent mechanical stirring samples. In this work, a generalized statistical models of TRP and TIS are proposed and verified by simulations. The proposed models provide rigorous analysis when the DUT and reference measurements have different number of independent mechanical stirring samples. The findings of this work allow more flexible TRP and TIS measurements for a given measurement time or uncertainty level.
